Larry passed away on March 24, 2023, under the care of VITAS in Rockledge. Larry was born to Beatrice and Lawrence Utterback in Santa Monica, California on September 14, 1929. He grew up during the depression and had a tremendous work ethic and could repair or fix anything. He is predeceased by his parents and sister. He is survived by his wife of 66 years Pat Utterback of Viera. Daughters Lisa Berman (Cary) from Westlake Village, California. Laura Scott (Eddie) from Vero Beach, Florida, Leslie Mosco (Ron) from Palm Bay, Florida., and a son Larry Utterback (Erin) from Casper, Wyoming. He served honorably in the United States Army and served a tour in the Korean War. He retired from Rocketdyne in Canoga Park, California after working many successful years on the Shuttle program. He taught computers at Pierce College at night and was still designing webpages for clients in his 90s. Larry always remained positive and physically active, riding his bike, and even snorkeling in the keys when he was 90. Larry always enjoyed the ocean and would snorkel and catch lobster and abalone off the coast of California in the 1960s and 1970s. His joy was his family’s camping trips at Lake Tahoe or various beaches in California. Pat and Larry enjoyed traveling to many countries after his retirement and drove to Alaska and many other parts of the United States in their motorhome. They loved cruises and their favorite was a 45-day cruise to South America from Port Canaveral to Los Angeles and also cruising through the Panama Canal 4 times. They both enjoyed retiring to Las Vegas for many years and enjoyed many shows. They moved to Florida 5 years ago to be near two of their daughters. He loved his two Bichons Lucy and Sugar, who passed just a few months before him. Larry will be greatly missed by his family.
