James “Jim” Trivett (1946-2025) has passed on 06/15/25. He is survived by his wife Sharon, daughters Kelli, Tammy, and Denise, and son Brandon.

Jim was a shining light of the community, a person who was always at the center of a gathering bringing joy to others. He made easy friendships and lasting relationships with those around him. He could always be found tinkering in his garage waiting to have a conversation with anyone passing by. It didn’t matter to him if it was someone asking for advice from his long past as a mechanic or just neighborhood chat.

He will be missed by all who knew him, and for some, life will never be the same without his crooked smile and easy laugh. That is how he will be remembered. As the man who could brighten a dark day. As the man who would always be willing to help another in any way he could. A man who was always there when you needed him, and sometimes even when you didn’t know you needed anything.

Jim did not want to have a memorial or funeral service for his death, but only wanted to be remembered for his life. He will be remembered as a loving husband, a dedicated father, and a dear friend. He loved to laugh and joke. He always appreciated a good story, whether he was hearing one or spinning one, regardless of it being true or not. He fancied himself a craftsman, and sometimes he was right. Without any doubt, he was a master of his trade, and would gladly tell anyone and everyone about it. He will be dearly missed, because he was dearly loved.

At this time, his family wishes to be left to grieve peacefully, and will be reaching out to his many friends and family as they are able, and when they are able. They would appreciate any well wishes and condolences be reserved until the time they are ready to receive them and are thankful for everyone’s cooperation with his wishes.
