DANIEL EDWARD HUMPHRIES, 78, went into the loving arms of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ at 5:17pm, Thursday, August 12, 2021, after many years of declining health. He was born on December 18, 1942 in the Village of Matoaca, Virginia. Daniel was predeceased by his beloved parents, Robert and Betty Humphries. He is survived by the many family and friends he so loved, including his wife Pat of the past 20 years. Daniel spent the majority of his life in Chesterfield County, VA; and later in Cape Canaveral, FL and Burgess, VA.
He loved life and lived it to the fullest. Daniel so enjoyed sharing God’s Word, gardening, canning, cooking, making biscuits, fishing, boating, hunting, camping, bluegrass and country music as well as old gospel hymns, old western TV reruns, military movies, airplanes, guns, comedy shows, and travels across the country by truck, car, plane and Harleys. His work skills were awesome and included mechanical equipment, CB/HAM radios and electronics, electrical, heating, air conditioning, construction, automotive and work in general. He was a very hard working man from an early age. Daniel was passionate in his love of Jesus, and his fellow man. He was generous with his time and talents to those in need, young and old, never expecting anything in return. Daniel was a good teacher and a loving caregiver. He touched many people and will be truly missed by many. Please know that he loved you and his prayer was to see you again one day in Heaven. A tribute from a lifelong friend says it best, “No man has ever had any better friend than Daniel.”
