Wanda L Salas, 73, went to her heavenly home Good Friday morning April 15, 2022.
A celebration of life will be held at Eau Gallie First Baptist Church in Melbourne, FL.
On June 4th at 11:30 am.

Wanda was born September 7, 1948 in McCrory, AR to Woodrow and Beda McNeely. She was a God fearing, Jesus loving, multi talented Navy wife, mother and grandmother. She graduated from Western Washington University with a K-8 teaching degree, with a Special Ed endorsement, and taught at Oak Harbor Middle School in Oak Harbor, WA. Wanda and her husband moved to Melbourne, FL in 1997. She taught multiple grades and made a positive impact on many students’ lives in the time she spent at Roy Allen Elementary. She retired in 2008.

Wanda loved to travel. She had 37 cruises with Carnival under her belt and had diamond status. She traveled to Australia, Singapore, Hong Kong, Philippines, Korea, Japan, Argentina, Brazil, most of Europe, including Greece, Turkey, Croatia and Guam, where America’s day begins. She also liked to play cards with BASIC friends, solitaire and slots on her Ipad.

Above all, Wanda loved people. She made friends easily and had the knack to be able to talk to anyone. She enjoyed the lunches with her retired colleagues. She was a strong Christian woman and prayer warrior. She was proud of her kids and grandkids. She was the glue that held her family together. She will be sorely missed.

Wanda was preceded in death by her sisters Shirley Coley and Nellie Nail.
She is survived by husband Jess, her sister Bonnie, son Craig, daughter Melanie, and grandkids Christopher, Eleanor, Elizabeth, and Emily.
