A memorial service will be held at Island Cremations on Friday, November 22. Family visitation will take place from 3:30 to 4:00 p.m., followed by a service from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. Afterward, an open-house-style dinner will be hosted at the home of Jeanann and Brad, where family and friends are warmly invited to celebrate Terry’s life and the many memories she leaves behind.

Terry Ann Kelly (Renfro), 64, passed away peacefully on October 30, 2024, surrounded by her family and loved ones.

Terry was born in Pensacola, Florida, and experienced life in many places as a child of a dedicated Navy officer. Her family eventually settled in Merritt Island, Florida, in 1975, where she graduated from Merritt Island High School with the class of 1977.

She built a meaningful career in the medical field, specializing in administrative and managerial roles. For the last decade, she was a valued medical biller and coder with Community Health Systems, known for her meticulous work and commitment to helping others.

Terry had a playful spirit and a love for games of chance—whether it was the Florida Lotto, poker games, arcades, or a classic scratch-off ticket, she always seemed to have a lucky touch. But above all, she cherished her family. Gathering for holidays, family game nights, and celebrations brought her the greatest joy, and she found true happiness in these treasured moments.

Terry is survived by her beloved daughter, Jeanann Deckers (Bradley), her son, Shawn Kelly (Anna), her sisters, Catherine Winston and Robin Price, her brother, Michael Renfro, and her grandchildren, Addilynn, Ella, and Aiden, all of whom brought light to her life.

We had three meetings before the ceremony even started to make sure that everything was going to be done properly and that we’re all on the same page. Island cremation arranged for the Marines to come and do a flag honor ceremony that was an excellent touch and made the whole ceremony very memorable. The funeral home was very clean and they even had masks and hand sanitizer set out. They helped setting up our food plus supplied some of their own. Very professional and highly recommended.

I had a Celebration of Life for my husband on his birthday last Friday.

Island Cremations helped me plan for the Funeral. They have been like family. I even brought my husband’s miniature poodle.

Dillon, Mike & Dawn helped me set up and clean up. We brought in food and drinks. I had a soft jazz CD playing in the rooms. The alter had my husband’s Dolphin Urn and flowers. His picture with him holding a 52 pound Dolphin was on a projector screen above the alter.

Pastor Babington did a wonderful sermon. The family & friends spoke of memorial times.

We all thank you for your kindness and warmth for this Celebration of Life for my husband.
