Susan was born on September 29, 1955 to Robert and Mary Gerster in Sidney, New York.
She passed away unexpectedly at home on September 17, 2023 at the age of 67 . She is survived by her husband Linsey Johnson, her sister Pat Singleton and brother in law Curt Singleton, nephew Scott and his wife Anne Singleton and nephew Kevin Singleton, grandnephews Jake and Connor Singleton, stepdaughters Maggie Kern, Katie Kern and Sophie Johnson.
Susan graduated from Sidney high school in 1973 and graduated from Cornell university with a bachelors degree. Susan became an accomplished carpenter building spiral stairways and went on to become a flight attendant for Southwest where she used her skills for the workers at the TWU 555 union to achieve their goals. Susan was a tireless worker at home and at work. She was always kind and cheerful you could hear her voice above the crowd and usually a lot of laughter. Susan will be sorely missed by all who ever met her and thankful for the positive attitude she shared with everyone
