Sue Baucom Hatley, 84, born May 23, 1930 in Monroe, NC, passed away November 19, 2014. She married S.A. Hatley, her beloved husband, in 1948. They had two children, Linda and Don, whom they loved dearly. Sue worked with her husband and son, Don for more than 40 years at the family business, Hatley’s Electronics and Marine. Her kind, gentle, and supportive ways resulted in her becoming “Mom, MawMaw, Grand-MawMaw” and friend to many. She leaves a legacy of love behind: daughter, Linda Dellenberger, son-in-law, Jeff, daughter-in-law, Dottie, three grandchildren (her angels), Monica, Mallorie, Don, three great-grandchildren, Noble, Naomi, Lilly, three sisters, Eleanor, Johnny, Martha, sister-in-laws, Betty and Orlee, and other loving family and friends. She was deeply loved by her King Street Baptist Church family. Her home at Wilson Place (ALF) where owners Joanne and Graham Lyle, her dear caregivers and residents, became her extended family. Dedicated friends and family comforted her as age and health challenged her independence.  As Sue, holding hands with her loved ones, looks down from heaven upon us, she smiles at the beautiful life she shared with so many.
