Sandra Larson Obituary

Sandra Larson age 79, passed away peacefully on August 2nd, 2024, in Melbourne, FL, surrounded by loved ones. She was born, Sandra Kay Foust, on October 10, 1944 in Abilene, Kansas to her parents, Ralph and Mary (Fair) Foust.

Sandy graduated from Abilene High School in 1962. On October 10, 1964, Sandy was united in marriage to Ronald Larson, with whom she shared 59 wonderful years of marriage. On August 5, 1976 their son Brandon James was born and her dream of becoming a mother became reality. Sandy always loved attending B.J.’s sporting events and cheering him on. Their life together as a family was filled with love, joy, and countless cherished memories.

Ron and Sandy operated Larson Grocery in Industry, KS and owned and operated Wakefield Grocery in Wakefield, KS. Sandy also worked as a Teller at the Farmers & Merchants State Bank in Wakefield, KS for 30+ years before her retirement in 2017. In their retirement years they built, owned and operated Sportsman Inn, now known as Ron’s Wakefield Inn.

In addition to her work, family, and community contributions, Sandy had a passion for travelling, tacos & margaritas, and slot machines. Sandy and Ron were frequent road trippers to all places across the Midwest and Southwest (her favorite) visiting and making friends.

Sandy was proceeded in death by her parents; Ralph and Mary Foust and her sisters; Betty (Bennie) Frazier and Carol (Rylan) Fick. Left to cherish her memory are her husband; Ron, her son; B.J. (Anne). Grandchildren; Ty, Alex, Catherine (Michael) and Nick. Great grandchildren; Peyton, Brekon, Elijah and Lira. Niece; Lisa (Freddy) Gonzales, nephew; Justin Fick (Lana) and countless other friends, family and friends that have become like family.

A celebration of Sandy’s life will be held on August 17, 2024 at 10:30 am at Scanolli’s in Wakefield, KS. Cards can be mailed to Ron Larson, 815 Briar Creek Blvd NE, Palm Bay, FL 32905. In lieu of flowers a monetary gift can be made to Sandra Larson Memorial at the same address.
