Ross Jackson Laningham, 81, of Cocoa Beach, Florida, passed away on November 13, 2024, surrounded by his daughter, son-in-law, sister, chaplain and dedicated military and hospital staff.
Ross was the son of Howard Kenneth (Jack) and Marie LeVan Laningham. He grew up in Parsons, Kansas and Southern Maryland, graduating from Surrattsville High School in Clinton, MD in 1961. He went on to higher education at the Kansas City Business College and the University of Maryland graduating with a B.A. in 1967 and an M.B.A. in 1976. During this time, Ross also served his country in the United States Navy. He was commissioned in 1967 and served aboard the USS Enterprise during a series of explosions in January 1969. Ross thereafter completed 10 years in the naval reserves and retired after two decades of service. He was passionate about current events, politics, and pursuing justice.

Ross is survived by two daughters, Nicole Laningham Fountain (husband Chris) and Jaime Laningham Griffith, two grandchildren and his sister, Jackie Laningham Manson.

Ross will be laid to rest in Arlington National Cemetery where lies his father and others who dedicated their lives to our freedom.
