Born in 1927 in Atlanta, Georgia, Bill served our country in the Navy and later graduated from the University of Georgia with a degree in business. Bill moved to Miami, Florida in the early-1950’s and worked for Southern Bell, where he met his wife, Beverly Spofford. Bill and Beverly lived in Biscayne Park, Florida, where Bill served two terms as commissioner and one term as the town’s mayor. The family later moved to Palm Beach County where Bill worked in sales until Bill and Beverly retired and moved to Brevard County.

Beverly passed in 2017 after 59 years of marriage. Bill is survived by his two sons, Stephen and Robert; his beloved grandson, Paris, who is currently a sophomore at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri; and his nephews Robert, Charles, Jimmy & Johnny Celi. He will be missed!
