Robert P. Silverio, 67, of Rockledge, Florida, a proud veteran of the United States Air Force, unexpectedly passed away on Friday, May 12th, 2023, from cardiac arrest.
Bob was born on October 7th, 1955, in Miami, Florida. He graduated from Rockledge High School in 1973 and married his soul mate, Sheryl, in November of the same year. He joined the USAF in 1975, and while on active duty he was stationed in the US and Germany. He received a Bachelors Degree in Management of Technical Operations at Embry Riddle Aeronautical University, graduating in 2006. During his faithful and honorable service, Bob was decorated with The Meritorious Service Metal (4x), Distinguished in the Performance of Outstanding Service to the US as Superintendent, Combat Operations, Southeast Air Defense Sector and Chief, Atmospheric Sensors and Communications, at Headquarters 1st Air Force.
At the rank of Chief Master Sergeant, Bob retired from the USAF after 26 years of active duty service. He then continued service to his country as a civil servant for another 16 years. Once fully retired, he then spent his time traveling with his loving wife and two dogs in their RV, trail riding in his AF blue Jeep, and spending time with his loved ones. Bob was also a lifetime diehard Miami Dolphins fan. GO FINS!
Bob is preceded in death by his father, Phil, and mother, Nancy. He is survived by his beloved wife Sheryl, son Bobby (Dei), daughters Jenni (Omar) and Lindsay (Matt), brother Dan (Barbara), sister Debbie (Rick), nephews Chris (Jenn), Danny (Courtenay), Mike (Kate), Zach (Tasha), niece Alison (Devin), grandchildren Kya (Josh), Anthony, Anna and his first great granddaughter Ivy Rose.
