In the loving memory of our dad, Norman H. White, who passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 14th, 2023, at the age of 82. He was surrounded by his loving family during his final moments.

He was born in Daytona Beach, Florida on July 3, 1941, to the late Harvey and Iva Mae White.

He is survived by his sisters, Sharon (Russ) Beekman; Gloria White; daughters Meghan Simpkins (Ronald); Courtney Pedersen (Richard); son Derek White (Sheryl), grandchildren Madison and Cameron Simpkins: Emily and Joshua Pedersen: Tristin and Noah White: and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harvey, and Iva Mae White. Sisters Judy Bradley and Arlene Rogers.

Norman was the owner and operator of White’s Opticians in Merritt Island for over 60 years. He was a force of positive energy. He shared his love of life by serving others. He was a member of the Merritt Island Rotary Club (over 60 years), Involved in Central Brevard Soccer for over 20 years. He was a member of the Merritt Island Presbyterian Church for over 60 years. He donated a great deal of his time serving the church and often called it his second home. He was a man of strong faith and used every opportunity to tell others about Jesus Christ.

He will be greatly missed by his family and many friends. A celebration of Norm’s life will be held September 23, 2023, at 11am at the Merritt Island Presbyterian Church.
