Melton Steven Goff, 69, of Cape Canaveral, FL, passed away unexpectedly on December 23, 2024. Steve was born on August 30, 1955 to James and Vida Goff in Birmingham, AL. After graduating from Miami Carol City High School, Steve worked for Crooks Printing. Later Steve began working with his father at Sunstate Pest Management, where he eventually became the owner of the company. In 1999 he met and married Marie. During their 25 years together, Steve and Marie raised five children, Taylor, Allen, Brian, Ashley, and Stephanie. Steve and Marie have 7 grandchildren. Steve was a proud Mason of the Grand Lodge of Florida F.& A. M. Steve was also a member of the Florida Sport Fishing Association of East Central Florida, where he served as Ambassador and Past President. Steve also served as President for the S.O.C.A. HOA Board where he and Marie reside. Steve was predeceased by his parents, James and Sylvia Goff and Vida and Don Sorensen. Steve is survived by his wife, Marie, his children, Taylor, Allen, Brian/Kristen, Ashley/Will, and Stephanie, and his grandchildren, Harmoni, Capri, William, Lyric, Wyatt, Liam, and Kylie. He is also survived by his siblings, Wanda/Jeff, Dianne, and Brenda, along with 11 nieces and nephews and 23 great nieces and nephews. There will be a Celebration of Life held on January 18, 2025 at Kiwanis Island Park located at 951 Kiwanis Island Park Rd., Merritt Island, FL from 1-4 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family kindly requests that you send your donations to Wildlife Conservation Society. donate@wcs.org
