Melinda Jeffreys Marquardt left earth peacefully to meet her Lord and Savior, on Monday,
August 5th, 2024 in her home in Cocoa, FL.
Melinda was born in 1950 in Graham, North Carolina. She was raised in Cocoa, Florida from the
age of 7 after her family relocated. Melinda had a free spirit, generous heart, and loved all- a
love that was returned by her many friends and family. She raised her son and only child in the
Caribbean (Antigua and St Thomas), and had many interesting experiences and endeavors
there. She was an accomplished artist (sketches, watercolor and stained glass) with many
beautiful works. Melinda worked in many fields over the course of her life from stingray feeding
guide to wedding planner and many more. Melinda often reached out to less fortunate and
troubled souls and would selflessly render any aid she could.
Melinda was preceded in death by her mother Mary, father Jack and brother John.
Melinda is survived by her loving husband Craig, her son David, brother Jack (Jacque), her step
daughters Christy (Tim), Heather (Daniel) – her grandchildren Jacob, Carissa, Edson, Elijah,
Trevor (Evan), Blake, Daniel and Noah- and her godchildren Alexis and Melissa. She also had
many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Memories of our wonderful and beautiful Melinda will be cherished in our hearts forever.
A celebration of her life will be planned sometime in the next few months.
