Maryann Groff
November 17, 1941 – May 25, 2026
Maryann Groff, a loving mother, devoted homemaker, and cherished soul, passed away peacefully on May 25, 2026, surrounded by her family, at VITAS Hospice Inpatient Unit in Rockledge, Florida, at the age of 84. Born on November 17, 1941, in Honesdale, Pennsylvania, Maryann lived a life defined by quiet strength, warmth, and dedication to her family and home.
As a homemaker, she poured her heart into caring for those she loved, filling their days with comfort, good meals, and the steady presence only a mother can provide. Later in life, she made her home in Cocoa, Florida, where she enjoyed the sunshine and serenity of Brevard County.
Maryann was preceded in death by her first husband, Edward L. McNamara, her second husband, Thomas Groff, her son Edward L. McNamara Jr., and her sister, Barbara Rankin.
She is survived by her daughter, Michele A. Morin and son-in-law Rick Morin of Cocoa, Florida, her grandson Edward T. McNamara and his wife Vanessa McNamara, her grandsons Travis Morin and Austin Morin, her great-granddaughter Aurora McNamara, and her sister Beverly Simons.
She was the beloved daughter of the late George Jezercak and Mildred Huff.
Though her time on earth has ended, Maryann’s legacy lives on in the hearts of those who knew her gentle spirit and the love she so freely gave. She will be remembered as a woman of grace, resilience, and quiet devotion—the kind of soul who made the world a little warmer just by being in it.
A private cremation has been entrusted to Island Cremations of Merritt Island, with final disposition at Space Coast Crematory in Rockledge, Florida.
May Maryann’s memory be a blessing and a comfort to all who loved her. She will be deeply missed.
