Kyle Andrew Bauman, 66, of Merritt Island, Florida, passed away on February 28th, 2026.

Born August 24th, 1959 in Pottstown, Pennsylvania, Kyle was the son of the late Frank and

Barbara Bauman. He grew up in Bally, Pennsylvania alongside brothers Kevin and Keith and

sister Kim.

Kyle graduated from Boyertown Area High School in 1977. In 1980 he enlisted in the United

States Air Force as a medical administrative specialist and accepted a commission as Second

Lieutenant with the Medical Service Corps in 1987. He completed five academic degrees while

in the Air Force and served in a variety of roles and locations across the world, but he especially

favored Medical Logistics and was integral in the creation of the Medical Log Dogs. He retired at

the rank of Major on April 24th, 2001 at Brooks Air Force Base in Texas. He worked as a

Business Systems Analyst in Medical and Environmental Solutions for CACI, Inc., and fully

retired in 2022.

Kyle met Lisa Berger while stationed at Ellsworth Air Force Base in 1988, and the two were

married on December 8th, 1990 in Indianapolis, Indiana. They happily enjoyed thirty-five years

together before his passing. In 2003, they welcomed their daughter Kacy and raised her in

Merritt Island, Florida.

Kyle loved cruising as a way to explore new regions of the world. He enjoyed watching the

Miami Dolphins, Philadelphia Phillies, and auto racing—particularly INDYCAR and anywhere

Andretti Global was involved. He was frequently listening to music, with Bruce Springsteen as a

permanent fixture on his playlists. He took pride in his Harley Softail Custom, and was a life

member of the Harley Owners Group.

Kyle is survived by his wife Lisa Bauman, daughter Kacy Bauman—whom he adored, brother

Keith Bauman, sister Kim Moyer, Aunts Pat Grove, Ruth Heydt, Louise Bauman and Dolly

Smith, Uncle Roger Bauman, nieces Claire Moyer and Pam Reichert, and nephews Trevor and

Ryan Bauman. Along with his parents, he was predeceased by his brother Kevin Bauman.

A graveside service with military honors will be held on Tuesday, March 24th at 10:00am at

Cape Canaveral National Cemetery (please arrive at 9:30am and park in lane A if attending). A

celebration of life will follow in the Fellowship Hall of Grace United Methodist Church 65 Needle
