Herbert Christopher “Chris” Whitham, age 72, of Indian Harbour Beach, FL, died on April 25, 2022, at VITAS Hospice Center in Rockledge, FL.

Chris was born in Philadelphia, PA on February 18, 1950, the son of the late Herbert Wright Whitham and Dorothy Brown Whitham. He grew up in North Hills, PA, and graduated from Abington High School in 1968. Chris obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Pittsburgh in 1972, and he received the Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Temple University Dental School in 1976. Following graduation, Chris established his dental practice in Allentown, PA, and practiced dentistry there until his retirement in 2013. He and his wife, Angelica “Angie” Hauff Nonnemacher Whitham, relocated to Indian Harbour Beach shortly after his retirement.

In addition to his wife of 34 years, Chris is survived by his children and stepchildren: Fred (Melanie Nonnemacher of Slatington, PA) Nonnemacher of Allentown, PA, Nicholas (FeiFei Liang) Nonnemacher of Titusville, FL, Brian (Miranda) Whitham of Columbia, MD, Heidi (Rocco) Martucci of Alburtis, PA, Ellen (Phil) Romagni of Pittsburgh, PA, and David (Emily) Whitham of Powell, TN. He leaves 11 grandchildren. Chris is also survived by his brother, Rande (Nancy) of Doylestown, PA, and by his sisters, Linda Knierim of Wheeling, WV, and Renee (David) Brosius of Warwick, MD, two nieces, four nephews, and several cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents.
