Hank’s Celebration of Life service will be held at First Baptist Church of Merritt Island on Friday, January 10, 2025, at 11:00 am. Burial will follow at a later date at Our Saviour’s Memorial Garden in Cocoa Beach, FL.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the House of Hope in Merritt Island www.houseofhope-mi.org or Transformation Life Center in New York www.tlcny.org.

Henry James Pearson, Jr., 55, of Merritt Island, FL, unexpectedly passed into the loving arms of his Heavenly Father on Tuesday, December 24, 2024, to spend Christmas Day with his Heavenly Father and his earthly father, Hank, Sr. “Hank” was born in Cocoa Beach, FL on August 15, 1969, to Henry James Pearson, Sr. (recently deceased) and Mary E. Pearson.

Hank is survived by his wife, Debbie Pearson of Merritt Island, son, Henry J. Pearson III of Merritt Island, five adult stepchildren and six step-grandchildren. He is also survived by his mother, Mary E. Pearson of Cocoa Beach, sister, Teresa M. Pearson of Cocoa Beach, and niece, Nycole J. Bourk (Brandon) of Oberlin, Ohio.

Hank attended Our Saviour’s Catholic School through eighth grade and graduated from Cocoa Beach High School in 1988. He then graduated from Brevard Community College in 1990 in Law Enforcement. He worked for the Brevard County Sheriff’s Department for a short time and in 1991 he decided to join his father in the used car business opening up a Titusville location for Easy Credit Auto Sales, Inc.

Hank traveled to Russia, Romania, Croatia and Yugoslavia, as well as Italy, Mexico, and many outer islands in the Caribbean.

Hank enjoyed fishing, swimming, surfing, snorkeling, scuba diving and sailing in the waterways of Florida. He was a certified scuba diver. He also obtained his private pilot’s license and flew around the state with his father. He was also licensed as a small vessel captain and sailed the Gulf of Mexico, Atlantic Ocean and Inter-coastal waterway of Florida.

After his father retired, he ran Easy Credit Auto Sales, Inc. in Cocoa, FL until his death.

Hank was an active member of First Baptist Church of Merritt Island and volunteered at the House of Hope, the church’s food and clothing ministry. He began serving with the House of Hope in 2014 starting in the bike shop and became the operations director. He also served on the Board of Directors at Transformation Life Center in New York.
