George Hixon Brown Jr, 88, of Winter Garden, FL, and with ties to Huntington, IN and Marion, IN died Tuesday Dec. 1, 2020 in Winter Garden, FL.

Mr. Brown was a U.S. Army Veteran and was employed by the Huntington Schools.  He was a teacher for 37 years, much of his teaching was with special needs students.  He also painted for the schools and was the concessions manager for many years.

He was born June 15, 1932, in Waynesboro, PA to George and Anna Brown.  He attended and was active at MI Church in Merritt island, FL.

Survivors include wife Barbara (Owen / Dalton) Brown.  11 children and 3 stepchildren.  Jim (Cindy) Brown of Churubusco, Tom Brown of Huntington, Lauren (Larry) Budweg of Oberlin, OH, Aaron (Linda) Brown of West Chester Township, OH, Sam (Jill) Brown of Huntington, IN,  Jon (Aundrea) Brown of Cridersville, OH, Joel (Angie) Brown of Greenfield, IN,  Linda Willard of Fort Wayne, IN, Danny (Tabitha) Brown of Huntington, IN, Julie (Darren) Turney of Fort Wayne, IN, Ben Brown of Huntington, IN, Scott (Debbie) Dalton of Winter Garden, FL, Stephen Dalton of San Francisco, CA, and Sandra Dugan of Upland, IN.

38 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren also survive.

He was preceded in death by wife Ann (Lambrecht) Brown. One brother Harry Brown, and sisters Myrtle Shafer, Marie Brown, June Brown, Kate Shew. One great grandchild Jacob Samuel Essig.
