Garry Leroy Muhs
July 26th, 1957 – March 18th, 2024

Garry Muhs, 66, of Cocoa, FL passed away on Monday, March 18th, 2024, in Cocoa, FL. He was surrounded by his wife and grandchildren.

Garry is preceded in death by his parents Roy and Tosca Muhs, sister Cathy Brown, daughter Nicole Dougherty, and sister-in-law Beverly Klesen.

Garry is survived by his wife Laura Muhs (of 23 years), grandchildren Morgan and Evan Dougherty, and many nieces and nephews.

Garry was born in Pennsylvania to his parents Roy and Tosca Muhs on July 26th, 1957. He grew up raising and showing horses in his younger years. At one point, he was the Pennsylvania State Champion for Horsemanship.

In 2001, he married his wife Laura and in 2010 they took a leap of faith and moved to Cape Canaveral, Florida. There they embarked on the adventure of being business owners, and purchased a little bar called Dotty’s. They owned and operated Dotty’s for many years before selling and moving on to the next step of their lives.

Garry was an avid motorcycle enthusiast and owned several Harley Davidson’s throughout his life. He even rode his Harley from Florida to Texas to visit one of his favorite nieces. (They were all his favorites. To settle any arguments.)

When he was not riding his Harley, Garry would spend his time with family, friends, and his dog Elvis. Sometimes we think he loved that dog more than any of us!!

Garry will always be remembered for his larger-than-life personality and the love for his family.

A celebration of life ceremony instead of a traditional funeral will be held on
