Fred L Lanier, Jr.

May 7, 1922- May 7, 2022

Fred (Buck) L Lanier Jr. passed away peacefully at St. Francis Reflections May 7, 2022 on his 100th birthday. He was born in Rockmart, Georgia, moved to Orlando, FL and eventually settled in Titusville, FL.

He lived a full life and certainly lived his 100 years on his own terms. His pride for this country and his service in the United States Marine Corp and the Air Force was truly one of his greatest achievements. He wasn’t afraid of trying new things and learned several hard-working trades throughout his adult life. His love for animals, flying and the outdoors were just a few of his passions that he held dear, and he loved to tell his favorite stories of his experiences. To see him continue to hold his own and do what he wanted well into his 90s is an inspiration. Being a self-proclaimed “stubborn” man, he probably left this world on his 100th birthday just to prove he was always in control. We loved him and his highly exuberant spirit. He will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his daughter Donna Sherry Lanier Eckler (spouse, Bob Eckler) and daughter Robin Lanier Lurye, 4 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his daughter Sandra Lynne Lanier and his wife Marsha Lanier.
