Donald C. Sams II, lovingly known as Donnie, passed away on May 1, 2026, in Cape Canaveral, Florida, at the age of 42. Born in Winter Park, Florida, Donnie lived a life defined by laughter, love, loyalty, and unforgettable moments shared with the people he cherished most.

There are some people whose presence changes every room they enter, and Donnie was one of them. He carried warmth wherever he went — with a smile that instantly made people feel at home, a laugh that was impossible not to join in on, and a heart big enough to hold everyone he loved.

He is survived by his loving parents, Doug and Jeanne Sams; his sister, Angela Sams Nieves; his beloved nieces, Bella and Aryanna; his nephew, Adrian; countless aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and all those who became family through the years.

Though his passing leaves an unimaginable ache in the hearts of those who loved him, Donnie’s spirit remains everywhere — in sunsets over the ocean, music filling the air, laughter shared among family, meals made with love, and hugs held a little longer.
Donnie truly lived.
