Denis Michael Bilderback

July 12, 1952-March 10, 2023

God called his beloved son, Denis Bilderback, home on March 10, 2023. Denis was a strong, smart, patient man that loved his wife, Debra Bilderback, 4 sons, friends, and his family with all his heart.

Denis was proceeded in death by his parents Everett and Catherine Bilderback, father and mother in-laws Donald and Beatrice Hill, Giles (Putter) Bauer, Deceased brother in law Jimmy.He is survived by his beloved wife, Debra, sons Chad (Jodi) Bilderback, Shane (Jami) Bilderback, Joe (Mollie) Bilderback, Jesse (Val) Bilderback and grandchildren Brianna, Carter, Amelia, Macie, Adria, Ellianna, Kael, Lincoln, Easton, Kyler, and Sylas.

He was the youngest of 8 children. Mary Jane (Ben-deceased), Paul (Debbie), Joan (Orville-deceased), John-deceased (Terry), Judy-Deceased (Glen-deceased), Gene (Barb), and Leon (Ruth).

Denis’ favorite hobbies were hunting, fishing, and golfing. He was a lot better fisherman then golfer as his friends and grandkids could attest to. Denis worked at Flint Hills Resources in Rosemont, MN for over 40 years before retiring to the sunshine state of Florida with his loving wife. Denis will be missed by many here and welcomed by others in heaven. I’m sure they have a card game waiting for him right now.

I dealt with Paul the owner he was very helpful. He assisted in the forms and contacted a few people to help with my fathers passing. They are all very compassionate and caring. It is a nice atmosphere and very professional in how they run the business. They did not try to push me towards anything or any package. My husband was an Army Veteran and they draped him with the American Flag as they were removing him from VITAS Hospice. We just had a wonderful experience at Island cremation with my father-in-law’s funeral. We had three meetings before the ceremony even started to make sure that everything was going to be done properly and that we’re all on the same page. Island cremation arranged for the Marines to come and do a flag honor ceremony that was an excellent touch and made the whole ceremony very memorable. The funeral home was very clean and they even had masks and hand sanitizer set out. They helped setting up our food plus supplied some of their own. Very professional and highly recommended.

I had a Celebration of Life for my husband on his birthday last Friday.

Island Cremations helped me plan for the Funeral. They have been like family. I even brought my husband’s miniature poodle.

Dillon, Mike & Dawn helped me set up and clean up. We brought in food and drinks. I had a soft jazz CD playing in the rooms. The alter had my husband’s Dolphin Urn and flowers. His picture with him holding a 52 pound Dolphin was on a projector screen above the alter.

Pastor Babington did a wonderful sermon. The family & friends spoke of memorial times.

We all thank you for your kindness and warmth for this Celebration of Life for my husband.
