I would like to express my heartfelt condolences to Deb's entire family on behalf of Janet, Kelly, Angelika and myself (Michael). Deb will forever have a very special place in our hearts. I remember Deb, Gordon and Nicole being at our house one Thanksgiving for dessert. We had such a great time together and laughed a lot. It is not only that I learned such a great deal from Deb and had tremendous respect for her depth of knowledge, determination and dedication to this country and the AFTAC mission, but that we always got along so well, and that she was always so genuinely kind to me. Heaven is where the rest of the journey continues The Brown Family

My sincere condolences. I will miss Debbie, while we have not been in touch for several years, I still think about her and all the knowledge she instilled on me when I was "new" to the financial world. Debbie had a big heart and I loved her laugh. She will be truly missed.

Deb will be missed terribly. I will miss her laugh. I will miss our lunches at Applebees (especially when she would order Asian Chicken Salad with no salad) 🤣. I will miss hearing her say “hey sweet pea”. I will miss helping her with technology 😂. I will miss watching her face light up when she talks about her family. ❤️ I will miss hearing her sing like she is at a concert in the car. I will miss her guidance. I will miss her friendship, I will miss her giving heart. Deb was a true leader, confidant, mentor, and friend. She knew the pulse of the organization at AFTAC but more importantly she had the pulse on the people. You knew you could trust her with anything. You could rely on her for sound advice, even if it wasn’t what you wanted to hear. She was down to earth, she was loving, and she is greatly loved by so many. Lord, please lend your comfort and bring peace to the broken hearts like only you can, especially to Gordon, Philip and Nicole, in Jesus name, Amen. 🙏🏻

Please accept my sincere condolences and know that I have been praying for the repose of Deb\' soul and for the comfort and consolation of all family members, friends and colleagues. I will always remember Deb for her tough but fair approach as she very admirably served the US Air Force. Deb rose to a lofty position and wielded considerable power and control of resources. Deb was a rock star...and let me tell you, she ran the show at AFTAC. Nothing moved at AFTAC without Deb\'s involvement! I admired Deb and have missed her since her retirement. I\'m thankful to have had the opportunity to serve alongside Deb Ward and will remember her fondly for many years to come. May God bless all those who read this tribute.

Ward Family, Please accept my deepest condolences. Deb was a true professional and is renowned throughout the Department of Defense for her financial planning expertise, her ability to coach, guide, and mentor teams, and for caring for those with whom she worked. It was my honor to have served as the AFTAC Commander when we inducted Deb on the AFTAC Wall of Honor. My heart goes out to you during this time of sorrow. Col James Finlayson Former AFTAC Commander
