Tuesday, June 28th, Cynthia Kim Scully, loving mother, sister and friend, passed away at age 60.
Cynthia was born October 4th, 1961 in Philadelphia, to CW2 Robert L. Scully and Jean Ercolani. She completed the Jacksonville Police Academy, served in the Navy as Seaman E3 and was a Merchant Marine Boatswain, sailing five of the seven seas. She had a passion for the ocean and felt most at home on the beach. Cynthia loved cooking for family and friends, especially Asian cuisine. She was a competitive swimmer, loved fishing, gardening and working with her hands. She was a Christian, fiercely independent and a true warrior in dealing with her illness for over 23 years. She will be remembered for her great sense of humor, infectious smile and gregarious laugh. Many have said that she never met a stranger and made friends quickly.
Cynthia is preceded in death by her father, Robert, mother Jean and her brother Robert “Robbie” Louis Scully Jr. Cynthia is survived by her daughter, Lindsey Marie Elkins, son Brandon Louis Storm Schlegel and her brother, Jeff D. Scully.
