Clifford James Chamberlain, 59, of Rockledge, departed this life Thursday, December 23, 2021, following a cancer diagnosis.

He was born in Kadoka, South Dakota on February 18,1962, to the late William Raymond Chamberlain and Blanche Severance Chamberlain.

Clifford was an Army Veteran and former correctional officer for Brevard Correctional Institution. He is known for his big heart and love for his friends, family, and making others laugh. He was a hard worker and dedicated father and mentor. He was preceded in death by his parents, his siblings: Fred Chamberlain; Billy Chamberlain; David Chamberlain; Bobby Chamberlain; Jane Ann Chamberlain; and Marjorie Chamberlain.

He is survived by his beloved children, Chris Chamberlain of Port St. John and Candace Chamberlain of Melbourne. Granddaughters, Maliyah and Issabella Colyard. Former wife Vicky(Tom) Colyard. Siblings: Carl Chamberlain; John Chamberlain; Roger Chamberlain; Joe Chamberlain; Marie Chamberlain; Millie Chamberlain Hoffman; Emery Chamberlain; Kathy Chamberlain Lucchino. Good friends Jimmy and Debra Cooper, and a host of extended family.

Memorial services to be determined. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Cliff’s honor to Vietnam and All Veterans of Brevard in Melbourne.

My husband was an Army Veteran and they draped him with the American Flag as they were removing him from VITAS Hospice. We had three meetings before the ceremony even started to make sure that everything was going to be done properly and that we’re all on the same page. Island cremation arranged for the Marines to come and do a flag honor ceremony that was an excellent touch and made the whole ceremony very memorable. The funeral home was very clean and they even had masks and hand sanitizer set out. They helped setting up our food plus supplied some of their own. Very professional and highly recommended.

I had a Celebration of Life for my husband on his birthday last Friday.

Island Cremations helped me plan for the Funeral. They have been like family. I even brought my husband’s miniature poodle.

Dillon, Mike & Dawn helped me set up and clean up. We brought in food and drinks. I had a soft jazz CD playing in the rooms. The alter had my husband’s Dolphin Urn and flowers. His picture with him holding a 52 pound Dolphin was on a projector screen above the alter.

Pastor Babington did a wonderful sermon. The family & friends spoke of memorial times.

We all thank you for your kindness and warmth for this Celebration of Life for my husband.
