CHARLES EDWARD EDMUNDS

December 23, 1958 - July 6, 2021

A Celebration of Life service will be held in Charlie’s memory at Faith Viera Lutheran Church, in Viera, Florida, at 1:30pm on July 25. A second Celebration of Life will be held in Leoma, Tennessee, in August.
In lieu of flowers, to honor Charlie’s greatest and most important mission for his Creator, the One True God, YHWH, the family suggests purchasing an NIV Study Bible for someone, to continue sharing The Living Word.

Charles Edward Edmunds, beloved son and devoted servant of The Most High God, YHWH, was taken home to his Father’s eternal kingdom on Tuesday, July 6, 2021. A treasured husband to Christine (Weiner), loving teacher and friend to sister-in-law Janice, father and role model to Randy (Erin), grandfather “Poppy” (Elise, Zachary), brother Robert (Michelle), brother Thomas (Debbie), son of Edward & Patricia, and uncle to several nieces and nephews, he leaves behind a legacy of faithfulness and humility. He was preceded in death by his father, Edward Carrington Edmunds, Jr.
Endearingly known as Charlie to most, he joyfully served his King by spreading The Gospel and sowing seeds of understanding about salvation and eternal life. He searched the Scriptures daily with eagerness, always excited to spend time in The Word with morning coffee. He continued to prepare hearts and minds for the Kingdom of God even when his health was failing. He sought to live a set-apart life according to the will and instructions of our Creator and Father, YHWH.
Charlie grew up in Merritt Island, but was led to relocate to Middle Tennessee in 2005. After his father’s passing in 2009, endowed with his father’s Bible, he began a new journey to draw nearer to his Heavenly Father. He actively participated in a small country church as a youth leader and Sunday School teacher, and with his growing servant’s heart, he led the charge for several large mission projects to bless and serve the local community. He started an in-home Bible study that met weekly for nearly 7 years, and grew in The Word at an accelerated pace, insatiable for knowledge and understanding about the character and promises of God, and His Son, Yeshua, Jesus Christ, our one trustworthy example of the image of God, into whom we are called to be transformed. His library of Bibles, books, study guides, documents, podcasts, videos, websites, notes, and papers testify to this deep hunger in his soul that he tirelessly sought to satisfy. He proudly wore t-shirts displaying spirit-filled messages, and relished every opportunity to spark conversations about Jesus’ parables and teachings about the coming Millennial Kingdom.
Charlie had numerous interests and hobbies, including photography, farming, gardening, wood milling and woodworking, beekeeping, reading, racing, golf, tennis, traveling, and he had a huge heart for animals. He was a Florida Gator fan, through-and-through. He was a licensed HAM radio operator, and an experienced electrician who could fix any motor, engine, or mechanical device. All of these interests took a backseat to the joy he found in seeking and serving his God daily, for which he will be most lovingly remembered. He called this his “Daily Manna”, honoring Deut 8:3 “He humbled you, causing you to hunger and then feeding you with manna, which neither you nor your ancestors had known, to teach you that man does not live on bread alone but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.”
Charlie was peacefully laid to rest by his family on July 9, 2021, at the Prairie Creek Conservation Cemetery in Gainesville, Florida.
