On Saturday September 10th 2022 Carl H Ritter jr. passed away at the age of 85.
Carl was born in Louisville Kentucky Oct. 23rd 1936 to Madeline Kimmel and Carl H Ritter Sr.
Carl was raised in Indianapolis In. He graduated from Shortridge HS he went on to Purdue
University where he studied engineering. He went in to the army where he was stationed at Fort
Riley Kansas. He was the editor of the camp paper. He met his wife Leslie Ford and was
married march 1st 1961.
Their first son Mark was born later that year in Fort Riley.
After his service in the army, they relocated back to Indianapolis where their 2nd son Glenn was
born. Carl worked with his father as a sale’s engineer for a company that sold conveyors, jibs,
lifts and cranes.
They lived in Indianapolis until 1986 when they moved to Merritt Island Florida. Carl and Leslie
co managed Shore and River lanes in Brevard County for several years. Afterwards Carl
managed the bowling lanes at Patrick Air Force base until he retired.
Carl was a fraternal brother in Sigma Chi a Mason and a Shriner.
He was the president of a shrine club in Indianapolis.
He served with his wife on the cocoa beach chamber of commerce.
He was a deacon at the 1st presbyterian church of Merritt Island.
Carl was an avid bowler he enjoyed Golf and cards and an occasional fishing trip.
More than anything else he enjoyed his time with his wife Leslie and was never very far
separated from her.
She preceded him in death and now they are together again.
He is survived by two sons Mark Ritter and Glenn Ritter a brother Gene Ritter and family

daughter in laws Michelle and Brenda
Five Grandsons
Two granddaughters and 13 great grandchildren and many cousins, nephews and nieces
