Bruce William Haupt 1953-2024
Bruce William Haupt, a beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away on July 5, 2024. Born in Marietta, Ohio, on February 25, 1953, Bruce leaves behind a legacy of quick wit, wisdom, and unwavering love.
Bruce studied at the University of Kentucky, where he graduated summa cum laude in Business Administration in 1976. His professional journey grew from a passion for the HVAC industry leading him to a remarkable 48-year career. From Brock-McVey Refrigeration in Lexington, Kentucky, to Parker Hannifin Corporation in the Texas, Louisiana, and Arkansas territory, Bruce earned multiple accolades as Big Bopper, Pinnacle Performer, 3-time National Salesperson, Stellar Sales Star, and Most Distinguished for doubling sales over his previous award-winning year. Later, he found fulfillment at McAllister Associates in Apopka, Florida, building lasting relationships with integrity driven colleagues. He always said, “there is something special about being on one team for 29 years.”
Beyond his livelihood achievements, Bruce was cherished for his sage advice-affectionately known as “Pops’ told you so.” His wisdom will echo around campfires and family gatherings for generations to come.
Bruce married his college foosball partner, Ellen, in 1978. Ellen survives him along with their two sons and six grandchildren:
Dr. Bruce William Haupt, Jr. and Emily Haupt of Houston, Texas, and their three children: Elsa, Dagny, and Lexie.
Dr. Edward Thomas Haupt and Gayle Haupt of Atlantic Beach, Florida and their three children: Heidi, Greta, and Kira. Also surviving are his three sisters:
Lori and David Johnston of Tampa, Florida
Jan Clayton of Mathews, North Carolina
Jenny and Curt Schneider of Austin, Texas
