Alison L. Havell, age 62, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 16, 2024, in Merritt Island, Florida.
Born July 1962, in Vermont and raised in Connecticut, Alison’s life was a testament to adventure and resilience. Her journey took her to many places, eventually leading her to Florida, where she met Manolo Rejas, together, they relocated to Lima Peru, where they married and began their family. Later in life, Alison returned to Florida, where she spent over 30 years surrounded by the beauty of turquoise waters and golden sun.
Alison loved her children-Jonathan, Molly, and Shay-deeply; they were her pride and joy. She delighted in staying connected with their lives and celebrating their accomplishments. Vacation and holiday times held a special place in Alison’s heart. She cherished the laughter and connection these moments brought with loved ones. The memories created during these celebrations remain treasured by all who shared them with her.
A gifted storyteller with an extraordinary talent for weaving humor and heart into her tales, Alison had a unique ability to captivate those around her. Her stories left a smile on everyone fortunate enough to hear them. She found joy in life’s simplest moments and generously shared that perspective with others. Her strength, resilience, and faith in facing life’s challenges continue to inspire all who knew her.
Alison enjoyed baking brownies, phone calls, good beach days, collecting heart shaped shells, diet Coke, reading gothic novels, fashion and thrifting. But most of all the ease of conversation and laughter with friends and family.
Alison will be deeply missed by her children: Jonathan, Molly, and Shay; the father of her children, Manolo Rejas; her brother David and his children Cole and Hannah; and her sister Liz Lockard and her children Thomas and Olivia. She was predeceased by baby Jesse Rejas as well as by her parents, Jere Havell and Lorraine Nobert Havell.
A private family service will be held to honor Alison’s memory.
May Alison’s strength of spirit and boundless love continue to bring comfort to all who knew and loved her.
