Obituary Kathy Shramko

Kathryn G. Shramko, 75, of Merritt Island, FL died Monday, December 16, 2013.

She was born to the late George and Ann Grupe, May 18, 1935, in Schenectady, NY. She married John Shramko on April 11, 1969 and they lived together in Merritt Island.

Kathy graduated from the University of Central Florida earning a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology and worked for the majority of her career at Cape Canaveral Hospital

For nearly 50 years, Kathy was an active member of Grace United Methodist Church and until her illness, participated in the choir and United Methodist Women.  She loved to travel with her husband and sew for her grandchildren.

Kathy is survived by her husband, John Shramko; three children, Pete Shramko, Mary Jane Kelley and Buddy Gratton; brother, George Grupe, Jr.; sister, Ann Smith. She also is survived by four grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to Grade United Methodist Church of Merritt Island, FL to benefit the Music Program.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, December 19 at Grace United Methodist Church, Merritt Island, Florida.
