Opal Graw Romas passed away peacefully on October 27, 2013 at the  age of 90. 

A  resident of Merritt Island since 1965, Opal was born and raised in Duffield,  Virginia. She worked in real estate briefly, but primarily was a mother and  grandmother.

Opal  was one of eleven children and the wife of the late Martin Graw. She was blessed  to find happiness again with Harry Romas (deceased). She will forever be  remembered by her daughters, Marta Graw and Lori Graw Thurow, son-in-law Steve  Thurow, grandchildren, Kyle, Cameron, and Kristine Thurow, and many family and  friends that were blessed to know her.

Opal  loved gardening, bowling, and dancing. Her true passion was playing Bridge. She  was active in numerous Bridge clubs over the years.

Throughout life’s ups and downs, Opal’s faith and strength remained  strong. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother and will be greatly  missed.

A  memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 2 at Grace  Methodist Church, 65 Needle Blvd., Merritt Island.
