Tony Courtney died 17 June 2013, just a few minutes after his 85th birthday had passed.
He is predeceased by his wife, Pat Courtney; and survived by his daughter, Jackie (Bruce) Pick; sons, Jim (Laura), Tom (Barb) and Bob (Brenda) Courtney; step-daughters, Debbie (Greg) Bonnenberger, Sheri (John) Diamantas and Patti (Billy) Stephens; grandchildren, Marie Coste, Brian (Janette), James (Kelly), Amy, Susan, Thomas and Crystal Courtney, Michael Pick, Heather (John) Watson, Johnny (Ashley) and Kyle Diamantas and Tyler Stephens; great-grandchildren, AJ and Audrey Courtney and Brett, Darius and Isaac Watson; and his beloved little dog, Scooter.
Tony was an Air Force veteran and enjoyed a long career at Kennedy Space Center as an electrical engineer. He will be remembered as an avid fisherman. He enjoyed music and played flute and harmonica and was a member of the Community Band of Brevard for several years after his retirement.
He and his wife were active members of Space Trackers Square Dance Club. His hobbies included building and shooting black powder guns, stamp and coin collecting and completing models and puzzles. He will be missed by his large family and many friends.
Memorial service will be held Friday, June 21, 1 pm at Brevard Veteran’s Memorial Center, 400 S. Sykes Creek Pkwy, Merritt Island, FL. Casual Dress is encouraged.
Donations may be made in Tony’s name to Brevard Veteran’s Memorial Center.
