There are no words at times like this to express how you may all be feeling. There are no words I can say to heal your heavy hearts. Troy was a handsome boy with those huge blue eyes that just peered right through you. I’m sorry we didn’t get to know one another better in adulthood. I just remember that cute kid running around and swimming at aunt Diane and uncle Charlie’s house in Florida. He spent some time here in philly and all the girls just loved him. Everyone had a crush on the blonde kid with those eyes from Florida. Kinda cute as I remember it. Even after this and he finally opened his eyes in the hospital all you saw was those huge baby blues staring up at you. I hope you are whole again and free of any pain. The family will always miss you and pray for your mother. I’m sure your with your family and resting in peace. Love your cousin Joann.

Our family has suffered some terrible tragedies over the past several years. The most, is the recent passing of my cousin Janie’s oldest son, Troy It was way too early, and now, he too joins those family members that have left our world. No parent should ever have lose their child and I cannot imagine, don’t want to imagine, what that pain would feel like. Janie, I pray that your Troy is at peace and that he will find true happiness in his life in the ever-after. Troy, we did not not each know other well, but I will never forget you. One of my fondest memories of you is the one where you gave me a giant hug at your grandmother’s funeral. I don’t know why, but I always thought that that was so sweet and special. I will remember you always with love. Your second cousin, Dayna ❤️

Troy, you were my oldest cousin. Out of all the ones I have, you were the only one older. So obviously, I thought you were the coolest, lol. I always wanted to be as cool as you. Still do ;) ... doubt I ever will be, but a girl can dream. The day you called and asked to name your first daughter Cecily, was 1 of the proudest moments of my life. You fulfilled one of my greatest goals, being cool enough to hang with my big cousin. I hope you, nana, pop, uncle Charlie, little billy, aunt Maureen and so many others that we lost, are enjoying being at peace together. I promise to always be here to tell all your beautiful children about how awesome you were. How you protected me and everyone else, selflessly. I love you, cousin, for ever and for always. I just wish I could have been there to protect you, the way you always protected me. This sucks, but I feel a little better knowing nana has her blue eyed boy to hold again. Give her my love please. I didn’t get to say good bye to her either. I miss y’all so much. I moved to Florida way too late. - Cecily

My dear nephew, I remember the day you were born. Those beautiful blue eyes! The minute you were born you stole Nana's heart. You stole all our hearts! Janie, there's nothing I could ever say or do that could possibly ease your pain, but just know you're in my heart and everyday I will hope that it gets a little bit easier for you knowing that he's at rest. All my love, your sister, Jodi

I'm so sorry Janie. I remember when Troy was tiny, reading to him from Winnie the Pooh. He was such a doll! I know how much you love him and nobody can take away the memories you have of him. I wish I could take away the pain, but all I can do is tell you he won't be forgotten. Cousin Laurie
