SOPHIE I AM TRULY SADDEN THAT YOU ARE NO LONGER WITH US BUT GOD KNEW YOU WERE TIRED AND WEARY. YOU VOICED SO OFTEN OF THE LOVE YOU HAD FOR JESUS CHRIST AND YOUR CHILDREN AND GRANDCHILDREN. I WILL TRULY MISS YOU AS A PERSON OF LIGHT. MAY YOU REST IN PEACE IN THE LIGHT OF CHRIST.

My Sister, my lovely sister. She chased us like pets until we were too big to run from her anymore. A surprise for Sophie when we stopped. Sophie and I lost each other’s phone numbers for a few years, But I was more than happy when we became friends, once again. It was fortunate for me to be able to tell her I loved her and was leading a God Fearing life. I will never forget when she did the twist while my band played it. All I heard was “is that your Sister”? Even Chubby Checker whispered in her ear how good a twist she did.(not in so many words). Our last words for the last few months were “I Love You” ......Isn’t that the way God would have wanted it?

I well remember Sophie Jane as a child...one I use to babysit for, beautiful child, loved by so many...never knew her much as an adult, but I am sure she was just as sweet and good as an adult, God be with DannaBo, Stevie and the whole family at this time...she left way too soon.....my family sends their condolences as well...

Auntie Sophie, beloved sister, mother, aunt, and much more... Her vibrant spirit brightened the room, you couldn't help but smile when she laughed, and man could she dance. Auntie Sophie was a very special part of my life, and the lives of many others. My time spent with her and her boys growing up are some of my happiest childhood memories. Auntie Sophie did everything big, her laugh, her dance moves, playing around the house, and putting the rest of us in our place at times. She gave her brothers a run for their money (don't worry, they deserved it), and raised two incredible boys. She was the kind of person who took the time to send her loved ones mail - I know many of us are holding onto those cards and letters a little more tightly now. And she was the kind of Aunt every kid wants, fun, playful, and happy to spoil you with love and affection. It gives me some comfort knowing we'd all connected again and added new memories to the many priceless ones we share as a family. Auntie Sophie will be dearly missed but always remembered; she will live on through her sons and grandchildren, and as an irreplaceable part of our family. I hope she's somewhere with Gram and Joey laughing up a storm, three legends heaven took too soon. We love you, Auntie Sophie! Thanks for teaching me to twist.
