On Tuesday, July 28, 2020, Shane Eugene Vaughan passed away at the age of 64.  Shane was born and raised in Columbus Ohio.  He moved to Florida when his parents retired to Cocoa Beach during his high school years.

Early on Shane became involved with the family owned car dealership, the Vaughan Motor Car Company in Columbus.  His interest in the automotive industry remained with him throughout his life.   Shane developed very close friendships while in Columbus.  These friendships survived his move to Florida and resulted in many Ohio/Florida road trips over the years for all involved.   They shared beach time in Florida, and hunting and fun and games at “the farm” in Ohio.

Shane graduated from Cocoa Beach High School where he was involved in ROTC, wrestling and football.  He loved boating, water skiing and hunting with his high school friends.

After high school, Shane returned to Columbus to earn a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration at Franklin University.  Upon graduation he returned to Florida where he resumed work in the family business as a purchasing agent.  He traveled weekly to Florida auto auctions to buy cars for transport back to Ohio.  He also worked for locally owned car dealerships in sales and leasing, and spent significant time working as the general manager in several Brevard area restaurants.

Shane had a passion for hunting and skeet shooting which lead to hobbies of gun and knife collecting.  He was known for his kind and compassionate spirit, good humor and big heart.

Shane was preceded in death by his father, Eugene, his mother, Marie and his brother Ray Vaughan.  He is survived by his sister Mecheall Giombetti and her husband Mark; his brother Bobby Vaughan, his wife Vikki and their two sons Ryan Vaughan and Adam Vaughan; and his ex-spouse Gayle Vaughan who he loved deeply until the day he died.
