Ruby (Bunch) Clifton

Ruby was 89, when she left us on _______.   Born on August 28, 1930 in Mullins, West Virginia, she was one of 7 siblings and was raised in Roanoke, VA.  She relocated here from Virginia in 1967, when her husband Bob joined the workforce  with Boeing at KSC and lived in Merritt Island mostly and then Titusville. She was a homemaker and busy stay-at-home mom, raising 4 children.  Back in her most lively years and out on her own, she could be found enjoying the company of her friends in Cocoa Beach at Dino’s Nightclub or Heidi’s Jazz Club, all dressed up and listening and dancing to the music performed by her many friends.  She would be chatting to all who came to know her.  She also enjoyed her Sunday afternoon NASCAR races and cheering on her favorite drivers and getting pretty noisy about it at times!  She enjoyed shopping for well-made, stylish clothing and loved being dressed to the hilt for all her outings. Her happiest moments were the times spent cooking for and hanging out with her children and she welcomed them always.   She is survived by her children, daughter Terrie Schoon, son Joe Bunch (Laura), and her twin sons, Brett Bunch (Deb Ivie) and Brian Bunch (Angela), and 5 grandchildren: Courtney Sklyar, Christy Ciarlariello, Justin & Jared Bunch and Cat Ivie,  and 3 great grandchildren,  her sister Anne Smithson of New York, and many nieces/nephews.  Heartfelt gratitude and thanks go out to Rosalina & Harry of Riverview Retirement Center and the staff at St. Francis Hospice for their support and wonderful care of our mom.
