Ray Stevens Bolton found the peace he desired on Thursday, August 30, 2018. Ray was born in Greenwood, S.C. on October 6, 1931 to Maedella Gertrude Sanders and Louis Stevens Bolton. He served his country in the U. S. Air Force, spending a year on the front lines in Korea as a Forward Air Controller. He graduated from Clemson University as an electrical engineer. The Corp of Engineers brought him to Brevard County and he was soon working for NASA. He worked through the Apollo program, Shuttle Program, and beginning of the Space Station program.
   Ray was always generous with his time and over the years he served as a Cocoa City Commissioner, a member of the Cocoa Beach Kiwanis, the NASA Alumni League, the Cape Canaveral Lighthouse Foundation and he delivered meals on wheels for many years.
   His parents and one daughter, Sharon Bolton-Eells pre-deceased him.
   Survivors include his wife Ann, children Derreck (Donna), Bruce (Julie), Daren (Sherri), Barbara Widerman (Roger Gibson) and son-in-law Russ Eells; grandchildren Cody, Margaret, Matthew, Elise, Kaylee, Jared, and Aden. Greatgrandchildren Sky, Violet, and Akira.
   A private memorial service is planned at a later date. The family would like to thank everyone for their prayers and comfort during this difficult time.
