A one hour visitation will be held at 10:30 on  Wednesday, February 27, 2019 at St Mary’s Catholic Church before a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30. A reception will follow at the Cocoa – Rockledge Garden Club, 1493 S. Fiske Blvd., Rockledge.

Mary Ann Kelly, 85, of Cocoa/Rockledge passed away on February 22, 2019. Born August 5, 1933 in Savannah, Georgia. She was the daughter of the late Milton J. Little and Lillie Louise Barrett.

She is survived by her husband of 62 years Charles John Kelly, III and four daughters, Beth Jones (Jack) of Columbia, SC, Marty Bachmann (Greg) of Cincinnati, Ohio, Nancy Boyett (Bill) of Cocoa and Ann Kirk (Greg) of Merritt Island. Nine Grandchildren and Five Great Grandchildren along with two sisters, Barbara Howard of Rockledge and Virginia Mobley of Savannah, Ga.

Mary Ann attended Barry University, Miami, FL. and was a graduate of St Joseph’s School of Nursing, Atlanta, GA. She was a member of the Cocoa Rockledge Garden Club, Rocket Quilters, DAR, Debutante Society of Central Brevard and spent many years in Girl Scouts as a leader and served on the Citrus Council of Girl Scouts as a board member.

She taught at BCC (EFSC) in the Lab School program for ten years and volunteered for the American Red Cross in their blood drawings. After retiring from BCC, Mary Ann worked at White’s Sewing Center for 9 years then at Hancock’s and The Quilt Shop.

Her hobbies were sewing, quilting and gardening. She won the blue ribbon one year in the Cocoa Arts and Craft show for a smocked child’s dress and another of her creations, a silk ribbon embroidered outfit, was displayed nationwide on a year-long tour.
