LILLIAN WANELL SULLIVAN (GRIFFIN), 88
Lillian Wanell Sullivan, 88 of Merritt Island, passed away on Saturday, December 29,
2018.
Daughter of the late Lloyd and Lillian Griffin, she was born in Clearwater, FL March
14, 1930.
Nell, as most people knew her by, was a devoted mother and the most generous
woman you would ever meet. She was a mom to not only her five children, but to many
of our friends and family who were in time of need.
She loved to travel, dance, and spend time with family and friends. A Navy wife for 20
years, she enjoyed living all over, especially Hawaii. She was a Florida Native and lived
for the past 54 years on the corner in Holiday Cove.
Lillian is preceded in death by her husband of almost 50 years, William “Bud”
Sullivan, son Patrick Sullivan, and two brothers, Aubrey and Joseph Griffin.
She is survived by her three sisters, Jessie Mae Glackin, Johneva Smith, and Corene
Driver, sons Bill (Nancy), Tom (Terri), and John (Bobe), and her daughter Laura (Greg),
twelve grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, and five great-great grandchildren.
The Funeral will be held on Friday, January 4th
, 11:00 at the First Baptist Church of
Merritt Island where she was a long time member and graveside services will follow at
Florida Memorial Gardens in Rockledge.
