Jane B Orrison December 26, 1943 – January 1, 2018

Jane B Orrison, formerly of Ellicott City, Maryland died Monday, January 1, 2018 at Cape Canaveral Hospital in Cocoa Beach Florida.

Jane was born December 26, 1943 in Greeley, Iowa, the daughter of Carl A and Esther May Burbridge. Jane was preceded in death by her parents and her husband and love of her life, John Robert “Bob” Orrison. Jane is survived by her son Matthew (Tracy) Dunne, two grandchildren Courtney and Christopher Dunne all of Cincinnati and her beloved K-9 companion, Copper.

A celebration of Jane’s life will be held on Friday, January 5, 2018 2 pm – 4 pm at the Windrush Clubhouse located at 3170 North Atlantic Avenue, Cocoa Beach, Florida 32931. In lieu of flowers, an account has been set up at Bank of America for the continued care of her Copper or donations may be made to Brevard County Sheriff Pet Posse in her honor at brevardsheriff.com.

My husband was an Army Veteran and they draped him with the American Flag as they were removing him from VITAS Hospice. We had three meetings before the ceremony even started to make sure that everything was going to be done properly and that we’re all on the same page. Island cremation arranged for the Marines to come and do a flag honor ceremony that was an excellent touch and made the whole ceremony very memorable. The funeral home was very clean and they even had masks and hand sanitizer set out. They helped setting up our food plus supplied some of their own. Very professional and highly recommended.

I had a Celebration of Life for my husband on his birthday last Friday.

Island Cremations helped me plan for the Funeral. They have been like family. I even brought my husband’s miniature poodle.

Dillon, Mike & Dawn helped me set up and clean up. We brought in food and drinks. I had a soft jazz CD playing in the rooms. The alter had my husband’s Dolphin Urn and flowers. His picture with him holding a 52 pound Dolphin was on a projector screen above the alter.

Pastor Babington did a wonderful sermon. The family & friends spoke of memorial times.

We all thank you for your kindness and warmth for this Celebration of Life for my husband.
