Emily Auston Shockley, age 30, went to her eternal home on Oct. 22, 2017. She was born Feb. 26, 1987 in Winston-Salem NC.

Emily never missed an opportunity to help others in the community. She generously gave her time by cooking and serving at The Daily Bread, HIS Place ministries and delivering Meals on Wheels. Her smile would light up a room and her laughter would echo across the world. Her family and friends will miss her greatly but will hold the beautiful memories of her close to their heart. Memorial donations, in lieu of flowers may be made to Exodus Ministries, Whose purpose is to break generational patterns of abuse, addictions and poverty through the liberating knowledge of Gods Truths. She is the daughter and stepdaughter of Robin and Tim Lockhart. survived by her brothers Curtis Moser and Brandon Shockley. Stepbrother Chance Lockhart and Stepsister Brianna Lockhart Coble, and grandfather Ernest Shockley along with her many other loving family members.

Emily’s celebration of life will be held on Saturday Nov 4 2017 2:00 @ Ryckman Park & Community Center, 507 Ocean Ave., Melbourne Beach, 32951. Food, Balloon and flower release, in honor of Emily to follow.

I dealt with Paul the owner he was very helpful. He assisted in the forms and contacted a few people to help with my fathers passing. They are all very compassionate and caring. It is a nice atmosphere and very professional in how they run the business. They did not try to push me towards anything or any package. My husband was an Army Veteran and they draped him with the American Flag as they were removing him from VITAS Hospice. We just had a wonderful experience at Island cremation with my father-in-law’s funeral. We had three meetings before the ceremony even started to make sure that everything was going to be done properly and that we’re all on the same page. Island cremation arranged for the Marines to come and do a flag honor ceremony that was an excellent touch and made the whole ceremony very memorable. The funeral home was very clean and they even had masks and hand sanitizer set out. They helped setting up our food plus supplied some of their own. Very professional and highly recommended.

I had a Celebration of Life for my husband on his birthday last Friday.

Island Cremations helped me plan for the Funeral. They have been like family. I even brought my husband’s miniature poodle.

Dillon, Mike & Dawn helped me set up and clean up. We brought in food and drinks. I had a soft jazz CD playing in the rooms. The alter had my husband’s Dolphin Urn and flowers. His picture with him holding a 52 pound Dolphin was on a projector screen above the alter.

Pastor Babington did a wonderful sermon. The family & friends spoke of memorial times.

We all thank you for your kindness and warmth for this Celebration of Life for my husband.
