DONNA M ECKHOFF

April 14, 1934 - January 4, 2019

A Memorial Mass will be held at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 3780 S. A1A Melbourne Beach, FL at 11:00 am on Feb. 16, 2019.  Following the Mass, Donnas’ ashes will be buried in the ICC Memorial Garden behind the church, after which a reception will be held in the church hall.

In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in the name of Donna Eckhoff to the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America or your local Hospice organization.

Donna Pedlow Eckhoff, 84, passed away on January 4, 2019 at La Casa Memory Care in Merritt Island, FL. Donna was born in Detroit, Mich. on April 14, 1934 to Edward and Margret Pedlow. Donna was a devout Catholic, attended Mass daily and was one of the first Eucharistic Ministers and Ministers to the Sick at Immaculate Conception Church (ICC) in Melbourne Beach. Donna was a dedicated home maker and loving mother of nine children. Donna dedicated her life to God first, Children second, Husband third and those in need fourth.  She was active in the Catholic Woman’s Club and for a number of years she coordinated funeral meals, as well as doing set up and serving in the deceased family’s home. She volunteered in a number of capacities: the Melbourne Sharing Center when it first opened, at Our Lady of Lourdes (OLL) School, the OLL Mardi Gras, South Beaches Little League, Brownie/Girls Scouts, and Cub/Boy Scouts. Donna volunteered at Hospice of Health First, was given the the Spirit of Hospice Award twice, and had more than 6,000 service hours.

Donna is survived by Joseph Eckhoff her husband for 65 years; four sons: Keith (Delilah), Joe (Chris), Tony (Dawn) and Dom (Tracy); five daughters: Marie (Randy) Lambert, Ann (Robert) Babington, Jeanine (Mark) Snowden, Fran (Mike) Kell and Tina (Luis) Lowe; 27 grand children; and 19 great grand children. Donna is survived by two brothers, Edward (Marlene) Pedlow and Alan (Diane) Pedlow, along with many nieces and nephews.
